Look Like A Star (of a Slasher Flick)

I've seen and heard any number of unconventional beauty products. In fact, through years of spa visits and gift bags I've accumulated an assortment of odd gadgets and serums. Pore vacuum? Yup. Paraffin station? Collecting dust. Pearl infused moisturizer? Got tons of the stuff. Despite my collection of snake oils and beauty gizmos, I took a moments pause when I was confronted with the Rejuvenique Facial Toning Mask Kit. I'm not really sure why a big facial vibrator would do much of anything for your pores. My biggest problem is with the appearance of the mask itself. If I walked into a room where someone was using this, I'd probably run screaming out of the room, convinced I had just encountered a deranged serial killer. Am I wrong?

Bomber For A Rainy Day

Ai Ai Gasa is a Brooklyn based clothing boutique retailing all eco-friendly garments. Store owner Melanie McClintock created her own line are bomber jackets and jewelry that are constructed entirely from recycled umbrellas. The materials make her garments one-of-a-kind as well as practical for braving the elements. The inspiration for the garment and her materials came when she entered a design competition a few years ago:

"I designed a wedding dress for a rainy day which didn't win, but in preparation I spent weeks picking through trash cans with the help of friends, collecting over 100 umbrellas. With all these umbrellas cluttering my apartment,  I decided to create something fun, hip and wearable out of them."

McClintock is taking her show on the road with a mobile pop-up shop which is set to traverse over 10,000 miles. She plans to host an umbrella drive in every city turning those finds into clothing, art pieces, and baubles to sell along the way. So what about the fuel used on that long trek you ask? To keep travel both eco-friendly and affordable, she'll be using a converted bus that runs on biodiesel or recycled cooking oil from local restaurants. 'Cause Getting Lipo Is Tacky

A colonic isn't exactly a new way to shed a few pounds. For decades celebrities and models have used the tactic to drop a bit of that extra lower abdominal bump. Mary Rambin is a  blogger and the designer of Moe Bags. In addition to her generally irrelevant bloggin, she's mostly regarded for being actress Leven Rambin's big sis. Since she has spent most of her young career on General Hospital (she's only 17), Leven is really only known as the underage arm candy of Men's Vogue writer, Hudson Morgan.

Back to the booty. In a amazing feat of oversharing, Mary went to get a colonic and captured the experience on film for her readers.  I'll be honest, this only vaguely  fulfills the  "fashion" portion of the title of this blog. Aside from the characters involved, Mary's admission of constipation and eventual personal journey don't necessarily meet any sort of fashionable descriptive qualification. However, it is without a doubt an "overload" of info... or of cleared blockage.
