Rihanna's Tattooed Heart

Having mentioned them months ago, the ads have finally arrived. For the Tattoo Heart Collection,  Gucci will be donating a portion of their proceeds to UNICEF. The Italian fashion house got Rihanna to star in their dialogue free spots and launched the campaign with an exclusive dinner attended by among others Madonna.

Kim Kardashian Is Selling Shoes

Kim Kardashian launched a new online shoe company called  ShoeDazzle. Remember that service where you got 12 free CD’s and all you had to do was promise to keep the annoying selections they would send you each month while all you wanted was the free CD’s in the first place then they threatened to send you to collections for $17.99?  Yeah. Well she’s doing that for shoes.

Handbags by Hayden Panettiere

Hayden Panettiere designed a clutch for Dooney & Bourke, which will debut in stores on December 1 for $295. The press release calls this is "the bag of her dreams." Despite the fact that she's a pretty vocal animal rights activist her dream bag is made of calf skin. The giant lion closure is inspired by her astrological sign, Leo.

Walter Raes is a European designer who works with repurposed materials. Shoes become vests and cassette tapes become dresses. The overall effect is reminiscent of Maison Martin Margiela. He has photographed his son, Anton Raes, in some of his latest creations. Click images to enlarge.

First Looks: Alexander McQueen For Target

 

Everyone has been talking about Target's latest designer, Alexander McQueen. Well the cat is out of the bag and here are just a couple images of the offerings that will be hitting retail locations in March of 2009.

Apparently inspiration for the collection came from Leila Moss, the lead singer of The Duke Spirit. The collection has a muted color palette of black, white, gray and tan with accents of cobalt blue and bright pink. Studs and mesh give items an edge. There are studded jeans, shorts and denim jackets with asymmetrical closures, short tuxedo jackets and matching shorts, dresses in a blue and white painterly fabric, a one-shoulder dress in a gray-and-black zigzag pattern with a thick black belt, and a T-shirt with the image of Moss. Lydia Hearst Meets Terry Winters

 

Publishing heiress Lydia Hearst has no problem dropping trou (Note HERE & HERE). This time she's teamed up with Terry Winters, the photographer who is best known for using speed during shoots and coaxing models to blow him while being photographed. Anywhoo.. its a fashion editorial for accessories I suppose. She's naked in just about every shot except for the one above and one even alludes to her primal bestial urges with a taxidermied bear.
