Knowles as the face of his fragrance, Emporio Armani Diamonds. Now,
Solange Knowles has been named the new Armani Jeans ambassador. The designer explains:
"Armani
Jeans expresses my vision of a young, independent, casual lifestyle
with a strong and cool, fashion sensibility Solange epitomizes this style perfectly and brings to it
that swing so evident in her new single, 'I Decided.'"
Stopping in London and Cannes, Solange will be outfitted in the clothing line during her current European press tour.
I've convinced myself that my latest indulgence in garbage TV is acceptable because it comes from the UK and doesn't involve paternity tests. The six part BBC series called "Britain's Missing Top Model" features model hopefuls with a myriad of disabilities. Basically, it's Top Model meets the Paralympics. Admittedly, my initial reaction when I heard about the program was to groan. We've finished exploiting the retarded for reality television (Flava of Love) and now we're going after the physically disabled? How could this end up being anything but a point and laughfest?
The show was more earnest than I had expected. An online component was a columnist, The Disability Bitch, who shares surprisingly frank and snarky commentary about disabled living. The program itself delivered in much the same manner going from cheesy epiphanies (a reality program staple) to earnest confrontations with the projected images of beauty.
Kelly Knox, a 23 year old amputee was recently announced as the winner of the competition. She was skeptical upon first hearing of the program:
"I thought it was going to be a freak show.I've
never wanted to be a model before so I thought I'd just do it for a
laugh. But as it went on. I felt something inside me change... and then I really wanted it. I want to show that having one arm is normal."
She said that if her career does take off she will leave her day job as a credit controller for a soft furnishings company. A part of her prize Miss Knox has been signed to Take 2 Model Management and will be featured in a four-page spread in the September issue of Marie Claire. The publication's Editor, Marie O'Riordan said:
"To get disability
discussed on the sofas throughout the land is no mean feat and using a
popular format of a reality show was a clever way of seducing viewers
into a more complex world. We hope this does pave the way for girls with disabilities to get into modelling in the future."

I'm not saying that I don't like Aubrey O'Day. I just hate her new line of clothing and skivvies. As you would expect from the perpetually half-naked pop tart, although the text on her novelty-Ts are trashy they're still composed of more fabric than I've ever seen on the chanteuse. Clearly targeted to slutty girls and gay guys, with boys briefs and panties that read: "Rockstars/Bad Boys/DJs/Athletes Make My Panties Drop". Pick up one for yourself or your skanky friend online HERE.
The Koffski by Nina Voss holds a guys keys, wallet, phone, and more while appearing more like an uber-macho gun accessory than a man-purse. The Koffski comes in a set with
a small detachable wallet. But if you want to really look bad ass, you

this murse can go with both formal wear (under the jacket using
shoulder straps) and casual jeans and a tee using the belt. There is a place for money (both banknotes & coins), mobile phone, credit cards, driving license, identity card and much more. All of this
is contained within 19 cm x 14 cm with 3.5 cm thickness.Get it HERE, but a word of advice: I'd avoid taking this wallet to the airport.
Dolce & Gabbana were inspired by YouTube when developing their latest commercial and print campaign. The promotional videos were shot by Mariano Vivanco showing models lipsynching to songs while wearing designer duds.
One of the most popular categories of content on the website are lipsynch videos. From fratboys to teenage girls, YouTube is full of clips that transform the act of
singing in front of a mirror into singing in before the whole world. Production quality varies from the simple to orchestrating a TV worthy music video with
special effects and professional photography.
Above, model Anne Vyalitsyna “performs” to Leona Lewis’s hit “Bleeding Love”
in the black and white video. The promotional film was created for
Dazed and Confused magazine and shows Anne wearing black underwear by
the design duo.
Below, Sam Way, David
Gandy, and Matt Loewen wear assorted D & G items. It
starts as a fashion shoot with the music of "Something’s Goin’" On
slowly kicking in until the action starts two minutes in with Sam
lipsynching, dancing and behaving like a frat boy on
springbreak.

Zaha Hadid has a Nobel Prize, a Chanel boutique, and even a golf cart created in her honor. The Iraqi design legend just paired with Melissa Shoes in Brazil for an
8-piece collection of plastic heels (think jellies, but slightly
sturdier) boasting her own futuristic designs. A new Melissa designer, Hadid's work joins talents Karim Rashid (my favorite, below), Vivienne Westwood, Alexandre Hercovitch, and Judy Blame. The shoes will retail for about $350, and will be sold online at Opening
Ceremony, Dover Street Market, and other boutiques starting this
September.
My inability to appreciate the appeal of Emo hair and sensibilities makes me feel old and invalid. I find that although it's not totally, like most mainstream culture is predominately hetero which seems odd (contrived hair? unnecessary dramatcism? sounds pretty gay to me). Women like guys who are locked in a perpetual
struggle with peeling away the layers of their dark, tortured soul.
Right. Crying on cue is so gonna get you laid. Now go and get
yourself an emo-cut, you pansy.
Getting Agyness Deyn to sing vocals on your record may
boost sales, but it hardly does wonders for your self-esteem. Five O'clock Heroes hooked up with the model du jour after
inviting her to collaborate with them on a track. Now the US rockers are fed up with their interviews circling around the Agy- instead of them. It seems frontman Anthony Ellis is suffering from a bruised ego. He said:
"Whenever we have an interview now, all anyone ever asks us about is Aggy. It can be really frustrating when the questions should be about music, not about who Agy's dating and stuff like that. Something I do find quite annoying is when there's a photo with
Aggy and the band, quite often they'll just focus on her and chop our
heads off - even though she's only recorded one song with us."
For over a decade, Reggie Cameron has worked behind the scenes as a publicist and marketing executive for mass market retailers, chic boutiques, and clothing lines producing fashion shows and working as a celebrity stylist.
Jumping to the other side of the press release, he provides commentary and coverage with an insider's edge.
His goal is to share with you his adventures in Vanityhood and abroad by servicing our mutual need for outlandish launches, regrettable red carpet garb, and always...wardrobe malfunctions!
